About The Position

The Loader Operator I operates heavy equipment and trucks, prepares equipment in the yard for auctions, and assists customers during and after auctions. The role also supports vehicle check-in and other yard staff responsibilities as needed, while promoting a safe working environment for employees, coworkers, and customers.

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy machinery.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
• A track record of working safely and helping others work safely.
• Ability to relate well with customers and team members.
• Ability to work as part of a team and help wherever needed, as well as self-start and work independently.
• Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
• A high level of attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to operate a large 36,000 lbs forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of heavy equipment and trucks.
• Help set up equipment in the yard for auctions.
• Help customers load their equipment purchases and answer questions related to the yard.
• Take personal responsibility for safety and support the safety of the team, coworkers, and customers.
• Learn and assist with vehicle check-in tasks as needed.
• Support and assist with yard staff responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
