Are you a dependable, customer-focused individual who enjoys staying active and helping others? We are looking for a Loader / Carry-Out Associate to join our team! This role is responsible for assisting customers with loading and carrying merchandise, maintaining carts and loading areas, supporting stocking and freight needs, and helping keep the store and parking areas safe and organized. When loading and carry-out needs are slower, this position will also assist at the register and provide cashier support as needed.

Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, climb, twist, and move merchandise as needed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to process transactions efficiently using the register system.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; frequent lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shifts.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Weekend availability preferred.

Strong customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to apply basic math concepts.

Responsibilities

Provide world-class customer service and create a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Greet customers warmly and offer assistance with carrying and loading purchases.
Safely load merchandise, including heavy or bulky products, into customer vehicles.
Assist customers with carrying purchases from the store to their vehicles.
Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to designated areas.
Keep loading zones, sidewalks, entryways, and parking areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Assist with unloading trucks, receiving freight, moving inventory, and stocking merchandise as needed.
Safely operate flatbed carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other approved material-handling equipment.
Maintain awareness of customer and vehicle traffic while working in loading and parking areas.
Assist with online, curbside pickup, and customer pickup orders, including locating, staging, and loading merchandise.
Maintain and organize shelves, displays, and front-of-store merchandise as needed.
Assemble products for customer orders or in-store displays when requested.
Use Theatro communication technology to stay connected with the team.
Respond to customer questions and direct customers to the appropriate department or team member.
Provide cashier coverage when loading, carry-out, and other primary responsibilities are caught up or when business needs require additional register support.
Accurately process sales and returns using the POS system when working at the register.
Promote the loyalty program, in-store events, and monthly promotions while assisting at checkout.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including loading areas, carts, cashier stations, floors, and displays.
Immediately communicate safety concerns, damaged merchandise, customer concerns, or other issues to a leader.
