About The Position

As a Tractor Trailer Loadbuilder, you will optimize asset, resource, and product utilization within established policies and procedures to build efficient and cost-effective loads for our Tractor Trailer team. Your goal will be to meet KPI targets on safety, on-time delivery, and retention targets, with customer satisfaction & service at the forefront. Your success will be dependent on your ability to make decisions and recommendations around several assets required for seasonal fluctuations in business, weather, and supply interruptions. Your success will also require an ability to handle strategic planning, making product specification changes, meeting demand during supply outages, as well as recording and reporting runouts or discrepancies within the business.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• 3-5 years related experience in a dispatch or logistics related role
• Attention to detail and effective time management
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Strategic planning
• Strong distribution knowledge
• Supply Management

Nice To Haves

• Previous exposure to the transportation industry is an asset

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to effectively gather and respond to requests for information for managers, drivers and customers
• Take ownership and accountability until a problem is resolved
• Effectively apply knowledge of distribution policies and procedures
• Make difficult and time sensitive decisions to support business objectives and customer needs
• Build loads for the Class 1 fleet and review driver completion reports
• Bring forward any concerns to managers
• Forecast seasonal demands and resources
• Produce outcomes that demonstrate an understanding of financial impacts
