About The Position

The Load Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring the accurate and efficient loading of raw materials, components, or products into production equipment or transport vehicles. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain product quality and safety standards throughout the loading process. The Load Operator collaborates closely with production teams to optimize workflow and minimize downtime, contributing directly to overall operational efficiency. This role demands adherence to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance to protect personnel and equipment. Ultimately, the Load Operator supports the seamless movement of materials within the manufacturing environment, enabling timely production and delivery schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating industrial loading equipment or forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards related to material handling.
  • Ability to read and interpret load instructions, safety data sheets, and operational manuals.
  • Physical capability to perform manual loading tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in forklift operation or other relevant material handling equipment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production workflows.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling and related safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operate loading machinery and equipment to transfer materials safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect materials and loads to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards before and after loading.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to schedule and prioritize loading tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of loaded materials, including quantities, batch numbers, and destination details.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on loading equipment to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report any discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
