About The Position

The Load Builder/Assembler, sometimes referred to as a Router, receives finished product from other departments and places it into route carts or bins for delivery or storage. The role involves following written packing requirements, maintaining product quality and packaging, and keeping pace with the flow of product to the load-building area. The employee may also transfer carts or bins to delivery vehicles or designated areas and perform other production tasks as needed. This is a non-exempt position paying $19.29 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m., with Saturday work after a holiday. The work takes place in production areas of an industrial laundry facility, where conditions may include temperature variations, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Recognize colors and sizes, and count and sort accurately.
Recognize, inspect, and grade products.
Comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
Comprehend and follow directions.
Meet the physical demands of the role for the entire shift, including standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping.

Responsibilities

Receive finished, clean product from other departments.
Read written packing requirements and place the correct type and number of products into appropriate route carts, bins, or storage.
Work at a rapid rate to keep up with the flow of products to the load-building area.
Transfer carts or bins into delivery vehicles or to designated areas.
Identify and notify supervision of product shortages.
Handle products to maintain quality and proper packaging.
Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
Keep the work area neat and clean.
Perform other tasks as required.
Work in other production positions as needed.
