NV Packout/Load Builder
About The Position
The Load Builder is responsible for loading various types of linen items according the individual clients order, in proper order and to the correct cart prior to delivery to the institution. NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry. NOVO Health keenly focuses on safety and infection control and provides its partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's wide range of service programs offer a variety of options to provide a seamless, single source distribution system. NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes.
Requirements
- High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and the willingness to learn new computer applications.
- Good analytical skills in order to be able to determine number of carts required for orders.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry.
- Ability to work in a noisy fast paced environment.
- Ability to climb, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 - 50 pounds during loading and unloading of truck.
- Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds and use simple tools.
- Ability to count items and verify against prepared lists.
- Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Is able to identify the various lines of linen products the company offers and its respective function.
- Builds bulk carts by filling it with the individual linen product.
- Reads the individual customer tickets and insures the proper product and count is then loaded into the cart.
- Weight carts in /out and enter data of into a computer program.
- Uses a hand held electronic scanner.
- Works independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
