About The Position

Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Wellness Director, the LNA assists with the day-to-day operations of the community’s health and wellness services. The role supports resident functional ability, safety, and well-being, and helps ensure high-quality service in the Health and Wellness Department. Responsibilities include coordinating communication and care, supervising and supporting team members, assisting with nursing activities and medication administration, and completing administrative work.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with American House’s philosophy and the written policies and procedures governing the Resident Services Department.
Assist in coordinating effective communication among Resident Associates, residents, and families, and maintain liaison with residents and family members.
Support continuous high-quality service through supervision, oversight, and delegation within the Health and Wellness Department.
Build rapport among Health and Wellness team members to facilitate teamwork.
Assist with recruitment and selection of Resident Associates.
Assist with ongoing supervision of Health and Wellness team members, including training, discipline, counseling, motivation, and evaluation.
Assist with orientation and in-service training.
Help ensure staff follow safety regulations and procedures, including fire protection, infection control, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous waste, and quality assurance.
Provide written and oral reports to the Wellness Director concerning Health and Wellness Department operations.
Coordinate healthcare services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
Assist the Wellness Director with nursing activities and medication administration.
Continuously assess residents to verify their appropriateness to live within the community.
Assist in coordinating regularly scheduled wellness meetings.
Complete required administrative paperwork.
Work with residents’ attending physicians to help ensure the highest quality of service.
Submit recommendations to the Wellness Director regarding budget completion, equipment, and supplies.
Assist with developing work schedules and assignments to ensure staff accountability and task completion.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA.
Maintain confidentiality of private materials, policies, procedures, and personnel records related to community operations, unless disclosure is directed or allowed by law.
