About The Position

We are seeking qualified, dedicated candidates for part-time teaching opportunities to instruct the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Program. The role involves delivering course content both online and in a classroom lab setting. The online portion consists of 22 hours of instruction, and the lab portion consists of 24 hours, totaling 46 hours. Applicants can apply for the online portion only, the lab portion only, or both. The course is scheduled for Spring 2027, from January 19th to March 23rd. The online component requires creating modules, monitoring student assignments, and providing feedback to meet Board of Nursing requirements. The lab/theory portion is held on Tuesdays from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with a make-up class on Thursdays for any cancelled Tuesday sessions. This is an adjunct appointment, which is temporary and for a specified contract period only. Eligibility for employment requires residency within a New England state.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Must complete an NH Board of Nursing approved Train the Trainer Program.
  • Minimum requirement for LPN: Must have 2 years' experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age with 1 year experience in the provision of long-term care (LTC) facility services.
  • Minimum requirement for Registered Nurse (RN): Must have Associate degree nursing educational preparation.
  • Minimum requirement for RN: Must complete an NH Board of Nursing approved Train the Trainer Program.
  • Minimum requirement for RN: Must have 2 years' experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age with 1 year experience in the provision of long-term care (LTC) facility services.
  • OR Minimum requirement for RN: Must have Baccalaureate nursing educational preparation.
  • OR Minimum requirement for RN: Must have 2 years' experience working with the elderly or chronically ill of any age with 1 year experience in the provision of long-term care (LTC) facility services.
  • All Candidates must have either an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse License in NH or multi-state nursing license from another compact state.
  • Residency within a New England state (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver online course content using Hartman's Nursing Assistant Care: Long-Term Care and Home Care 5th edition curriculum.
  • Create weekly modules for student assignments and assessments.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on student assignments to ensure they meet Board of Nursing requirements.
  • Instruct students in the classroom lab setting for 24 hours.
  • Conduct make-up classes on Thursdays for any cancelled Tuesday sessions.

Benefits
