This position will report to the Dean of Academic Support and Strategic Partnerships and be responsible for providing academic technology support and training to faculty and staff. The Coordinator will work as the senior administrator of the college's learning management system (Canvas) and respond in a timely manner when course management, functionality issues, or other questions, arise. In collaboration with faculty and administrators, the Coordinator will ensure that distance learning complies with federal, state, college, and accreditor regulations and guidelines, including NC-SARA compliance and reporting, as well as annual distance learning course audits.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as an account administrator for Canvas LMS (i.e., creating course shells, merging courses, managing subaccounts, and troubleshooting functionality issues).
  • Experience supporting faculty and staff in working with Zoom, Respondus Lockdown Browser, Google suite, Microsoft applications and other commonly used educational technologies in higher education settings.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
  • Familiarity with higher education policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Willingness to train on specifics of compliance and educational policy.
  • Demonstrated success working with a team, as well as independently depending on context.
  • Successful completion and passing of a background check will be required.
