About The Position

Manage quality control activities designed to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards. Manages the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy. Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, quality rates, and trends to inform management of status of work activities. Administers site and corporate policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified policies. This role is critical in ensuring that rotary wing aircraft meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all operational and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Minimum 10 years in quality management within aerospace, rotorcraft, or aviation environments.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems is vital.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, quality control techniques, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with rotorcraft-specific maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes.
  • Experience with aviation safety management systems (SMS) and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in quality software tools, Microsoft Office, and data reporting platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM), AS9100 Lead Auditor, or equivalent aviation quality certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) specific to rotary wing aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation standards such as AS9100, service guidance, and other relevant authorities.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and assessments of production, maintenance, and assembly processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the local customers, maintenance teams and all supporting teams/back shops to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all products, services, and processes meet service guidance, safety standards, and customer requirements.
  • Analyze quality metrics, trends, and non-conformance reports to identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present quality performance reports for leadership.
  • Lead and mentor quality assurance teams, provide training on quality standards, best practices, and aviation-specific procedures.
