This role oversees daily department operations and drives process improvements. It coordinates live bird handling activities, including unloading, drawer movement, and live hang, ensuring humane treatment and compliance with animal welfare standards. The position also oversees equipment and crew rotation within live receiving tasks (e.g., forklift operation, finishing machine support) to maintain workflow efficiency and minimize downtime. It promotes open communication and supports a positive work environment, manages scheduling of people, materials, and equipment to meet production needs, and conducts performance evaluations, ensuring consistent feedback across the team. The role maintains high standards in safety, yield, efficiency, and quality while supporting departmental goals and budgets, and takes on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Plant Operations Team.
