About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of duties related to the processing of poultry, including working with live chicken or raw chicken. Tasks include but are not limited to handling and processing chicken products, deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, moving, and inspecting. In all positions, other duties may be assigned by supervision as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete checklists.
• Willingness and ability to work in other departments and positions as needed and assigned.
• Willingness and ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and noisy conditions.
• Willingness and ability to work around industrial equipment.
• Ability to stand for several hours.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive use of the arms, wrists, and hands.

Nice To Haves

• Previous poultry production experience
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Pick up live birds by hand from the incoming MODs (trays).
• Hang bird by both feet on hooks.
• Identify and disposition any birds that do not meet standard.
• Work in a variety of conditions, hot, cold, wet, and noisy.
• Work around industrial equipment, stand for several hours, lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds, repetitive use of the arms, wrists, and hands.
• Perform tasks such as deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, moving, and inspecting chicken products.
