Live-In IDD Direct Care Manager: Professional Neighbor
About The Position
GoodLife Innovations is seeking a live-in Professional Neighbor to support the needs of clients and supervise direct care staff at our Wichita Neighborhood Network. This position comes with FREE housing - rent and utilities for a private 2-bedroom/2-bathroom apartment are completely paid for, so you can focus on providing quality, compassionate care while earning a salary at the same time! As a Professional Neighbor, you will live in GoodLife-provided housing as a network manager and caregiver for semi-independent adults with disabilities. You will provide guidance, remote monitoring, and support for persons served, as well as assist with training and supervision of direct care staff.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technology quickly
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to live on-site
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving and supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Training and providing ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and counseling to direct care staff
- Providing remote monitoring and support via tech-based monitoring systems
- Teaching and supporting daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
- Transporting to appointments and activities in company vehicle
- Completing assigned management and administrative duties
