The DSP (caregiver) is responsible for providing direct support, hands-on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals. The live-in model allows for structure in a client's home environment. Our Live-in model is a 7 day on/7 day off schedule. You will be required to live in the individuals' home-on location and will be paid 16 hours a day (minus any unpaid break time). Live-in DSPs work approximately two weeks per month and earn full-time pay plus overtime! Bi-weekly compensation will be for 105 hours (25 hours of which are paid at a rate of time and a half). You will also be paid for any interrupted sleep time, if applicable. Live-in DSPs are also provided with a weekly food budget during your week on. You will receive one 7-hour break during your scheduled shift. All off time must be spent off location - the individual’s home cannot be your primary residence.
