This role requires someone attentive, patient, and experienced in supporting clients with chronic health conditions while ensuring safety and comfort in the home. Requirements

  • Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal) required; experience with oxygen use preferred.
  • Ability to assist with personal care and mobility.
  • Knowledge of oxygen safety and emergency response protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reliable, patient, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to live on-site with scheduled time off.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred).
  • Background check required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with oxygen use preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting while maintaining dignity and comfort.
  • Help with safe transfers, walking assistance, and fall prevention.
  • Ensure oxygen equipment is functioning properly and follow safety protocols.
  • Prepare heart-healthy meals according to dietary guidelines.
  • Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, organized home.
  • Provide timely reminders for prescribed medications (non-medical).
  • Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in activities.
  • Assist with shopping, appointments, and other errands as needed.
  • Be available for assistance during the night if required.
