About The Position
A family in Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 is seeking a compassionate, dependable live-in caregiver to support a 92-year-old woman who is looking forward to returning home from assisted living. She is mentally sharp, enjoys birds, puzzles, and gardening, and is seeking a caregiver who will help her remain as independent as possible while providing daily support.
Requirements
- Prior caregiving experience required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable assisting with wheelchair transfers and mobility support
- Reliable, organized, and proactive
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus but not required
- Comfortable around dogs
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Medication reminders and pill management
- Prepare meals and assist with cooking
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
- Assist with transfers, mobility, and strength exercises
- Provide transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, and visits with family and friends
- Offer companionship while promoting safety, dignity, and independence
