Looking for more consistency than traditional hourly caregiving? Our Live-In Caregiver Team offers the opportunity to provide meaningful one-on-one care while becoming a trusted part of a senior’s daily life. You have the opportunity to build a genuine relationship with your client, learn their routines and preferences, and provide the dependable companionship and support they need to remain comfortable and independent in their own home.
Requirements
- Deep empathy and patience
- flexibility, reliability and responsiveness
- creativity and a positive, open hearted approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and their families
- Ability to life/transfer up to 25 lbs to assist with ADL care
- Clean background check and drug test
- Clean driving record and current car insurance
- Current CNA certification preferred OR at least 2 years in home senior care experience
Responsibilities
- Providing one-on-one proactive companionship to seniors with chronic health conditions in their homes (discussing current events, create artwork, reviewing photo albums): Learn their story!
- Escorting to doctor's appointments or running errands (grocery shopping)
- Reminding clients to take their medications
- Performing light housekeeping task such as dusting, tidying, laundry
- Assisting clients in preparing meals
- Observing their well-being; communicating with nursing team
