About The Position
Home Care Assistance is seeking a Female Live In Caregiver to provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may no longer be able to care for themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dignity, patience, compassion, and respect towards clients and their property, while remaining empathetic at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Completion of Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
- Satisfactory professional references
- Ability to lift 70lbs comfortably
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for long periods of time as needed
- Previous caregiving experience
- Valid CPR/First Aid certificate

Responsibilities
- Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation to appointments.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications.
- Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
- Assist with toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide financial assistance such as balancing checkbooks, going to the bank, or helping with bill payments.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting the client.
