About The Position
At Home Services for Independent Living, Inc. is seeking an experienced live-in caregiver/companion for an elderly female client in Southold, NY. This is a temporary 2-week assignment beginning approximately May 26, 2026, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. The ideal caregiver will be kind, compassionate, emotionally mature, soft-spoken, and possess a calm demeanor. We are seeking someone who can provide not only companionship and supervision, but also a peaceful, reassuring presence within the home.
Requirements
- Prior caregiving experience REQUIRED
- Dementia experience REQUIRED
- Well spoken, patient, and professional
- Soft-spoken with a calm demeanor
- NYS driver’s license REQUIRED
- Reliable transportation REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Background in education is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Companionship and supervision
- Assistance with daily routine and structure
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Transportation/accompaniment as needed
- Maintaining a calm, supportive environment
Benefits
- Compensation of $282.93 per day, paid weekly
