About The Position

Senior Helpers of North Hudson is hiring Certified Home Health Aides for live-in cases in Jersey City and across North Hudson. Caregivers stay in clients’ homes for multi-day live-in cases and are matched with permanent clients rather than one-off shifts. Paid orientation and training are provided at New Jersey minimum wage, along with free ongoing online training that can be completed on the caregiver’s schedule. Pay is $206.96 per 24-hour live-in day, with live-in days worked on holidays paid at 1.5 times the regular rate. Pay is issued every other Friday by direct deposit. The agency also offers a nurse on call and office support.

Requirements

• Hold an active New Jersey CHHA certificate, or be on the New Jersey Board’s eligibility list while awaiting the certificate.
• Be available for multi-day live-in stays in a client’s home.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be a New Jersey resident.
• Be reliable and patient, and comfortable working one-on-one in a client’s home.
• Be comfortable speaking with English-speaking clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide care during live-in cases in clients’ homes.
• Stay in a client’s home for multi-day live-in stays.
