About The Position
Companions & Homemakers is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to provide non-medical home care to seniors in various service areas across Connecticut. As a caregiver, you will follow individualized Plans of Care, assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help with household tasks. This role offers flexible scheduling, including weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seniors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Open availability preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
- Transport clients to appointments and activities
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
- Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
- Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
- Document care and provide reminders as directed
