The Live Haul Loader is responsible for the proper chasing and loading of live turkeys into trailers while ensuring compliance with humane handling standards. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs consistently
- Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl
- Must maintain good attendance
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, twisting, and gripping
- Ability to lift and handle live birds weighing up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- TM cannot have more than 4 points at the time of reviewing requestions.
- TM cannot have any disciplines in the last 6 months
Responsibilities
- Properly chase and load live turkeys into live haul trailers in accordance with humane handling policies
- Follow all loading procedures to minimize condemn bird rates and ensure animal welfare standards are met
- Start operations on time and work efficiently to reduce downtime
- Maintain loading equipment and report any issues to leadership
- Perform physically demanding tasks including bending, twisting, gripping, and lifting
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Crew Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
- Maintain consistent attendance and reliability
