About The Position

This role is responsible for the transportation of birds from the farm to the processing facility. Key duties include performing pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring proper loading for optimal airflow in hot weather, correctly labeling loads based on bird type (non-ABF vs. ABF), and monitoring bird health to maintain a suitable environment by adjusting fans and foggers as needed.

Requirements

• Commercial Drivers License required

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
• Transport birds from the farm to the processing facility
• Position truck to be loaded to ensure maximum airflow across birds by the fan trailer in hot weather
• Ensure that load is marked with the correct colored label (red for all non-ABF birds and blue labels for all ABF birds.)
• Inspect bird health and make any adjustments necessary to maintain proper environment for birds (Turning fans and foggers on as needed)
