About The Position

This position picks up live chickens from a conveyor belt and hangs them by the feet on a moving shackle line. The Live hanger picks up a chicken from a conveyor at waist height moving from the left to the right and hangs the chicken by the feet in a moving shackle located over the conveyor belt at about chest height. DOA’s run off the end of the belt onto DOA table. Live hanger expectations are 24 birds per minute in all positions except when operating the switch (28 birds per minute) And any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Must provide government identification number to verify previous Tyson employment history.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not accepted.
• Rehires are accepted after 180 days.
• Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
