About The Position

Tyson Foods Inc. is accepting applications for live bird hang positions. This role is part of the live processing area and may be available in any shift. The work environment in Live Hang is dark and very dusty, as the birds come straight from the farm to our hanging pen. This is a fast-paced job that requires stamina and the hanging of heavy chickens.

Requirements

Willingness to work in the live processing area in any available shift.
Ability to hang live birds on conveyer shackles at a rate of 24 birds per minute.
Ability to tolerate the work environment which is dark and very dusty.
Stamina for a fast-paced job requiring hanging heavy chickens.
Willingness to work in a live bird area department.
Ability to tolerate motion and work on a fast-moving processing line.
Willingness to work on a stand that is two (2) feet above floor level.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.
Ability to perform lifting tasks.
Must provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times will not be accepted.
Rehires are accepted after 180 days, but Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Performing lifting tasks, with weight depending on the area.
