About The Position

AMS Staffing is seeking an experienced Litigation / Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to join a respected mid-sized law firm in downtown Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with strong litigation support experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of law firm experience supporting litigation attorneys. Prior experience in insurance defense, workers' compensation, and/or tort litigation is highly preferred.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of legal assistant experience within a law firm.
Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience supporting workers' compensation, insurance defense, tort litigation, or general litigation practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the General Litigation and Workers' Compensation practice groups.
Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal correspondence and litigation documents.
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and other case-related events.
Maintain electronic and physical client files.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.
Assist with case management and document organization.
Handle additional administrative and litigation support responsibilities as assigned.
