Requirements

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies required
  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience (insurance defense preferred)
  • Law firm billing experience and understanding of billing practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases
  • Experience drafting subpoenas and tracking incoming records
  • Comfortable with legal research tools and case management software
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and litigation teams
  • Obtain medical records via authorizations and subpoenas; follow up with providers
  • Organize discovery, case databases, and records charts
  • Issue Open Public Records Requests and conduct background research
  • Review, analyze, and summarize medical records and treatment chronologies
  • Support depositions and discovery (transcript summaries, document tracking, follow-ups)
  • Manage document productions from opposing parties and co-defendants
  • Prepare materials for expert witness review
  • Maintain well-organized, accessible case files
  • Prepare cases for and assist with trials
