About The Position

The Paralegal will provide complex legal support to attorneys, including managing caseloads, drafting legal documents, and coordinating discovery processes. This role requires a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently on complex matters under attorney supervision. Mizrahi Kroub LLP is a fast-paced and growing law firm based in New York City, with a focus on plaintiff-side litigation, including employment law and disability access cases under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Requirements

  • 1-3 years Paralegal experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and legal software (e.g., Lexis Nexis, Litify, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review comprehensive documents such as discovery requests and responses, and other legal filings, ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with clients and other parties involved.
  • Lead the discovery process, including gathering documents from clients, reviewing and analyzing documents, and preparing draft discovery responses.
  • Conduct basic research using online tools to support attorney case strategies.
  • Communicate directly with clients, updating them on case progress, addressing concerns, and gathering necessary information.
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Create and oversee new organizational systems to support attorneys and timely case management.
