About The Position

This role is for a paralegal on the litigation team at a personal injury firm in Huntsville, Alabama. The firm's goal is to offer the best customer service in the country and operates as a faith-led organization. The paralegal will manage approximately 40-60 active litigation files, preparing legal documents, coordinating depositions and hearings, mentoring legal assistants, and maintaining case files in Filevine. The firm emphasizes preparing every case for trial, requiring a similar mindset from its team members.

Requirements

  • Five-plus years as a personal injury litigation paralegal
  • Experience drafting complaints from scratch
  • Experience running written discovery start to finish
  • Ability to read a court rule and apply it independently
  • Thick-skinned and able to handle direct feedback
  • Ownership-minded approach to case management
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technology and tools
  • Comfortable working alongside people who openly try to live out their faith

Responsibilities

  • Draft complaints, propound and respond to written discovery, and prepare deposition outlines and packets
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, and hearings
  • Mentor legal assistants and direct virtual assistants
  • Keep every file current in Filevine: phases, tasks, notes, deadlines
  • Be the first line of escalation before the partners
