About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support our General Liability practice. This role is essential in assisting attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document management, contributing significantly to the success of our clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or a related field.
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to general liability.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and discovery materials.
- Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed for case development.
- Maintain knowledge of current laws and regulations relevant to general liability.
- Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies.
