We are looking for a skilled litigation paralegal to join our personal injury litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years in litigation on plaintiffs' side of personal injury. Excellent communication and writing skills and working knowledge of the Nevada Revised Statutes and the rules governing civil procedure are necessary. We value the ability to handle your own caseload as well as collaborate and work as a team with 1-2 attorneys. Organization, professionalism, and attention to detail are critical. Although we are seen as a high-volume firm, we pride ourselves on customer service and ensure reasonable caseloads, so each client receives the care and attention they deserve.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Applicable knowledge of deadlines, motions, discovery, court rules and procedures, etc.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable learning computer, software/database skills.
  • Efficiency, accuracy and professionalism are a must.
  • Posses strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work with multiple attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions and other necessary litigation documents in both Federal and State Court.
  • Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage attorney logistics, etc).
  • Prepare and organize exhibits and documents to support attorneys through discovery, mediation and trial.
  • Aid attorneys and clients with interrogatories, setting depositions/meditations and other litigation events.
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources including medical records.
  • Provide assistance with liens, bills, and case settlements.
  • Respond to and propound written discovery.
  • Client contact and management: Fostering and maintaining an excellent rapport with clients through consistent communication.
  • Corresponding and working with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and health insurance companies to compile documentation for all client injuries, damages, and other losses including medical records and bills, lost wage information, photographs, any additional evidence of damages incurred.
