The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for assisting with litigation matters. The position requires a resourceful and highly technically proficient professional to manage litigation projects effectively and efficiently in the fast-paced environment of this amazing company known for its uniquely positive office culture. Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification with litigation paralegal experience
Must have superior writing and oral communication skills
Must have strong research skills
Must have ability to pay acute attention to detail and proofreading
Must have ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Great team player, enthusiastic proactive and self-directed
Outstanding organizational skills and excellent judgement and problem solving skills
Must be flexible with schedule and time requirements to meet deadlines and needs of the Litigation Practice group
Technologically savvy; highly proficient, expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

Prepare, file, and manage pleadings and related court documents utilizing federal and state electronic filing systems in compliance with applicable court procedures and policies
Prepare, organize, and review exhibits, binders, and other materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Conduct title searches, draft abstracts, lien certificates, and lien discharges
Draft motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, affidavits, notices, certificates of service and related documents
Assist attorneys with all phases of discovery and eDiscovery, including preparation of discovery requests and responses, document review and analysis, and management of discovery materials
Assist with service of process
Calculate, calendar and track deadlines with a working knowledge of relevant civil procedure and other applicable rules
Attend to file maintenance within the firm’s document management system
Prepare Excel charts, spreadsheets, timelines, and other summaries of various types of information
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, clerk’s office personnel, potential witnesses, experts and others
Conduct research (legal and non-legal) and prepare clear, concise memoranda
Provide administrative, paralegal, and case management support to attorneys and perform other related duties as assigned.
Billable work as assigned with a goal of 1400 billable hours per year
