About The Position

Litchfield Cavo LLP is a growing nation-wide litigation defense law firm that strives to provide its associates with the encouragement and opportunities to develop and advance. The Pasadena, CA office seeks a well-rounded, highly-motivated, experienced Litigation Paralegal to support defense litigation. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a variety of litigation support responsibilities including managing all phases of the discovery process in a forward-thinking firm, an expanding California office. Familiarity with case management software or legal billing systems is a must. The salary range for this position is $65K - $75K, commensurate with experience for 3 - 5 years. A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Familiarity with case management software or legal billing systems is a must
Knowledge of electronic filing procedures in California state and federal courts in California
Strong legal research and writing skills
Experience with case management systems (e.g., iManage, Time Matters, Clio, etc.)
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF maker (Nuance or Adobe Pro)
Demonstrated efficiency navigating the internet

Nice To Haves

A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Managing all phases of the discovery process
Drafting and responding to discovery
Working knowledge of docketing and calendaring deadlines
Organize, prioritize, and implement urgent tasks with strong attention to detail
Provide excellent written and verbal communication
Remain self-directed, self-motivated, and effectively work under tight time constraints
Consistently create and deliver quality work products
