About The Position

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Charlotte, NC office. Primary responsibilities, handled under the supervision of Moore & Van Allen attorneys, include: Assist in all aspects of discovery and eDiscovery , including document management and review, document production, written discovery and depositions. Cite-check legal memoranda. Research case filings, public records, and public background information. Draft, review, and proof correspondence and legal documents such as motions, memoranda, affidavits, and other pleadings. File documents in all levels of federal and state courts, both electronically and in hard copy. Assist with preparation for and attends hearings, arbitrations and trials as needed. Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior and mid-level paralegals. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Regular in-person attendance is required to perform essential functions of this interactive position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred with either a paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies
  • Minimum of 7+ years of demonstrated experience in the Litigation practice area, particularly with large and complex cases and/or government investigations.
  • Proficiency with computer technology, MS Office Suite, litigation and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity), and case management software required.
  • Candidates must have a high level of attention to detail, with excellent communication and client service skills.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry or global law firm preferred.
