About The Position

Litigation Paralegal Are you a skilled and motivated paralegal with a strong background in personal injury law? We are currently seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team at Cesar Ornelas Law. Education requirements: High School Diploma Associates Degree or Undergraduate Degree Preferred Paralegal Certification (+) You will be responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during and after trial. The successful candidate will be able to help during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, document drafting/filing, and attending trials, all while keeping well organized and meet varying deadlines. Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on personal injury law
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury laws and legal procedures
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.
  • Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully and patiently multitask and tend to frequent interruptions
  • Strong attention to detail with knowledge on e-File, litigation procedures, and laws or rules in multiple jurisdictions
  • Exceptional knowledge and application of legal software, database expertise and Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) not required, but helpful and should be stated on resume

Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough case investigations and research
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions
  • Organizing and managing case files and documents
  • Coordinating with clients, witnesses, and experts
  • Preparing for trials and hearings, including drafting trial exhibits and witness lists
  • Providing administrative support to attorneys as needed
  • Coordination of all the details before, during and after trial
  • Conducting interviews
