About The Position

Ruchman and Associates, Inc. (RAI) is seeking a Litigation Financial Analyst to support the US Attorney's Office (USAO). RAI is a small business with a 40-year track record in serving the Federal Government, employing over 200 cleared individuals who have supported Federal agencies globally. The company has performed mission-critical contracts valued at over $200M. This role will focus on assisting the legal team with financial analysis in investigations, particularly concerning asset forfeiture.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Three-years accounting, finance, or other related experience
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills; oral and written
Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other common software applications and databases
Proven commitment and expertise to provide excellent customer service; positive and flexible; ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a team environment, deliver the highest quality of work, and maintain a professional disposition under extreme pressure
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation

Nice To Haves

CPA certification preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other common software applications and databases are preferred

Responsibilities

Assists the legal team by tracing, reviewing, and analyzing financial records from investigations to determine the source and delivery of funds, and the nature and volume of transactions.
Understands account relationships, follows criminal proceeds and identifies assets and funds that meet thresholds and legal requirements for forfeiture.
Assists prosecutors in preparing for court proceedings by developing legal theories for forfeiture and preparing exhibits, charts, and abstracts of the financial evidence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
