About The Position

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic general liability team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of litigation experience, insurance defense experience, strong advocacy skills, and a desire to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• Admission to the EDNY and/or SDNY (or ability to be admitted within 90 days of hire)
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple matters efficiently
• At least 3 years of litigation experience
• Insurance defense experience

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of discovery and motion practice
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and trials
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement discussions
