Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar (or the ability to become licensed in Arizona promptly).
- 4 - 6+ years of litigation experience, with at least 3+ years of personal injury-related experience.
- Experience managing a litigation caseload from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters to clients in a clear, compassionate manner.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while taking ownership of cases and driving them forward independently.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively partner with and mentor paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff.
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and achieving outstanding results.
Nice To Haves
- Personal injury litigation experience representing plaintiffs.
- Deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial experience.
- Experience independently managing a high-volume litigation caseload.
- Proven record of obtaining favorable settlements and verdicts.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with Arizona courts, judges, and local rules.
Responsibilities
- Managing a litigation caseload from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Overseeing both pre-litigation and litigation matters.
- Managing pre-litigation cases, with litigation responsibilities increasing as the caseload develops.
- Partnering with and mentoring paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff.
