About The Position

Perez Morris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Columbus, Ohio office. This position focuses on business and employment litigation matters and is well-suited for an attorney with 4 to 6 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to independently manage a diverse caseload, contribute to client relationships, and grow their practice in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Associate with 4-6 years of experience handling civil litigation matters.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license in good standing with the Ohio Bar.
Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.
Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Independently manage an assigned caseload of business and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of the legal practice.
Appear regularly in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions as an experienced trial attorney.
Lead all aspects of litigation strategy, including drafting pleadings, drafting and responding to written discovery, preparing motions, negotiating settlements, and preparing witnesses for trial.
Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate clients and insurers, providing regular case updates, strategic assessments, and litigation plans throughout the matter lifecycle.
Provide sound legal advice and strategic counsel to clients at all stages of the litigation process.
