About The Position

Resource Label Group is recruiting a Litho Finishing Helper to join its Production Team. The role assists Press Operators by operating the feeder and keeping the press running, maintaining ink and water levels, and helping with press maintenance and training as needed. The employee follows operator direction and daily production schedules, supports quality and safety standards, and assists other departments when workload permits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devices.
Regularly stand at a workstation for the duration of the shift.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without mechanical assistance.

Nice To Haves

Printing or packaging industry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow guidance and direction from the Press Operator.
Understand ISO requirements and comply with written procedures.
Follow the daily workload schedule, communicate problems or concerns, and assist with timely resolutions.
Check the cutting slip to verify stock count before running and communicate discrepancies to a supervisor.
Plan work to minimize make-ready time and material use.
Maintain knowledge of job and equipment safety requirements and become familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals in use.
Wear appropriate protective equipment when using or mixing chemicals and ensure hazardous chemicals are handled and disposed of properly.
Maintain print quality to reduce inspection delays and rework.
Perform preventative press maintenance, including lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
Assist other departments as needed and when workload permits.
Keep work areas clear and organized and maintain housekeeping standards.
Perform other duties as requested.

Ensure the proper stock is used for each job.
