Requirements

• Indiana Teaching License (MEETING HIGHLY QUALIFIED STANDARDS)
• Rules 46-47: K/Primary K-3
• Rules 2002: Elementary-Primary Generalist
• REPA: Early Childhood Ed P-3 OR Elementary Generalist K-6
• Before an individual can work with students or have his/her name submitted for approval to the Board of School Trustees, the candidate must complete the background check authorization (at a cost of $15.00--cash or check) and the background check must receive a "cleared" rating. Additionally, the individual must complete a federal I-9 form (providing appropriate identification documents); tax forms; a direct-deposit form (with an attached voided check); and, view training videos at the Educational Services Center (approximately one hour in length).

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in subject matter, utilizing various teaching methods, such as lecture and demonstration, and uses audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations.
• Integrates and utilizes identified Essential Skills in lesson planning, presentation, and assessment.
• Maintains discipline in the classroom and provides adult supervision throughout the building.
• Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.

Benefits
