About The Position

Allegion is a global leader in safety and security, specializing in security around the doorway and beyond. Krieger Specialty Products, a part of Allegion, is a leading manufacturer of special purpose doors and windows applications since 1936. They are seeking a Lister to join their team in Pico Rivera, CA. The role involves coordinating work in progress, reviewing submittals, understanding manufacturing processes, and preparing manufacturing documents. The Lister will work with limited supervision and use initiative and independent judgment. The company emphasizes a value-driven, team-centered work environment guided by their Model of Success.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience with sheet metal, CNC fiber lasers and CNC press brakes.
  • Strong work ethic, loyal, trustworthy, honest, team player.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and have regular contact with executives, managers, and employees.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of personality types.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally experience within the steel door manufacturing industry.
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overall coordination of the work in progress assigned.
  • Reviewing submittals, hardware schedules, hardware templates, cut sheets or other related information from the customer and/or project manager.
  • Understanding Krieger’s manufacturing processes, CNC software, AutoCAD software, product types and construction methods, shop drawings, release process, compatible sub-components, hardware and engineering.
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, data entry and preparation of manufacturing documents.
  • Producing AutoCAD drawings which are converted into CNC programs for laser-cut, press-formed door and frame components.
  • Creating and organizing manufacturing documents prior to release into production.
  • Updating department manager by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding manufacturing work order requests.
  • Calculating all raw materials required for the work order, consolidating the BOM into a list for laser operators.
  • Completing related results as needed to accomplish the engineering department and organization mission.
  • Obtaining and maintaining a thorough knowledge of Krieger’s engineering methods and procedures, general product knowledge and product characteristics, general and technical specifications of products for production usage and file management.
  • Creating and developing goals for the specific job function that will support organizational goals.
  • Engaging and completing assignments as directed, skill set and work scope by the engineering manager.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the manager.
