About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 3A to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store on East Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown. As a General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the store while leading and developing a dedicated team. This role oversees all aspects of the store’s performance, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving operational success. You will be a key leader in day-to-day activities and in anticipating store needs for marketing strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

One year as a Liquor Store General Manager 2B (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Four years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Five years of supervisory retail sales work
Meet the PA residency requirement
Be able to perform essential job functions
Pass a background investigation
No felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment

Responsibilities

Manage all internal store functions and coordinate with delivery, maintenance, and other teams to keep the store clean, safe, organized, and welcoming for customers and staff at all times
Assist customers with product selection, offer expert recommendations, resolve issues, and work with your staff to deliver excellent customer service
Guide and evaluate performance; provide training to ensure team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed
Monitor and manage inventory, product placement, and approved displays to help ensure effective participation in promotions and optimal customer experience
Handle cash management, sales reporting, and the maintenance of accurate records in line with company policies and procedures
Foster healthy positivity and teamwork to support staff in achieving high-level performance and exceeding sales targets while maintaining a top-tier environment
