About The Position

Don's & Ben's Liquor is seeking a hard-working, reliable store clerk with excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with the public with energy and enthusiasm. The clerk creates a welcoming environment and supports store operations by receiving and stocking merchandise, greeting customers, helping them locate products, and answering questions about products and services. The position is for a Monday–Saturday shift at 22015 IH 10 W, Ste. 105, San Antonio, TX 78257.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have reliable transportation and be reliable and punctual.
• At least six months of proven work experience as a cashier or in customer service or the retail industry.
• Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, engaging attitude.
• Must be able to move throughout all areas of the store, including the outside perimeter.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 40 pounds to waist level and bend down repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional, prompt, and friendly customer service.
• Help customers find products and make purchasing decisions.
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately using cash registers.
• Keep checkout areas clean and tidy and perform store maintenance, including sanitizing, cleaning, sweeping, and mopping as needed.
• Stock liquor, beer, and wine; this may involve carrying large quantities of merchandise.
• Assist with inventory counts when necessary.
• Enforce TABC requirements, liquor laws, and company policies and procedures, including checking customer IDs.
• Open or close the store on time in accordance with operating hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation.
