About The Position

Otter Co-op is seeking a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate for their Angry Otter Liquor store at Point Grey in Vancouver, BC. Otter Co-op is a long-standing, community-minded organization operating various businesses including food and pharmacy stores, liquor stores, a feed mill, petroleum facilities, a pub, and convenience stores. They pride themselves on being locally owned and serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior since 1922.

Requirements

• Serving it Right license is required
• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8 hour shift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings

Nice To Haves

• Liquor retail experience is preferred
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Problem solver and quick learner
• WSET accreditation is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
