About The Position

Otter Co-op is hiring for a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at their Angry Otter Liquor @ Lickman location in Chilliwack, BC. Otter Co-op is a diverse and growing organization that has been serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior since 1922. With over 103 years in business and over 600 team members, they operate multiple businesses including food and pharmacy stores, liquor stores, a feed mill, bulk petroleum facilities, a pub, and gas station/convenience stores. This role contributes to providing products and services that support member-owners and help build, fuel, feed, and grow Western Canadian communities.

Requirements

  • Serving it Right license is required
  • WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required to be obtained within the first year of employment
  • Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8 hour shift
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
  • MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
  • MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, late evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
  • Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
  • Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
  • Receive, check, and put away deliveries
  • Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
  • Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned
