About The Position

Otter Co-op is hiring for Part-Time Liquor Store Associates at their Angry Otter Liquor @ Lickman location in Chilliwack, BC. Otter Co-op is a diverse and growing organization with over 103 years in business, serving communities since 1922. They operate various businesses including food and pharmacy stores, liquor stores, a feed mill, petroleum facilities, a pub, and gas station/convenience stores. This role contributes to providing products and services that support member-owners and help build, fuel, feed, and grow Western Canadian communities.

Requirements

• Serving it Right license is required
• WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required to be obtained within the first year of employment
• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8 hour shift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, late evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned
