Requirements

• One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of lead retail sales work.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs daily store activities, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Supervises a shift, participates in various sales activities, and maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
• Assigns duties, guides clerks, ensures proper coverage and adherence to policies and procedures; collaborates with the General Manager on staff training, performance reviews, and other operational functions.
• Assists shoppers by locating products, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive shopping experience.
• Oversees opening and closing tasks, maintains store readiness, and ensures security procedures are followed.
• Ensures stock levels and product displays are maintained, assists with inventory management, and ensures equipment is used safely.
• Coordinates licensee orders, verifies accuracy, and ensures timely preparation and pickup.
• Contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment, working collaboratively to create an atmosphere where every day brings new challenges and rewards.
