About The Position

Responsible for providing excellent customer service and adhering to all policies, procedures, laws, and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and tobacco. Duties include operating a computerized point-of-sales system, stocking shelves and coolers, lifting and carrying merchandise, general cleaning, and professional customer interaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Basic knowledge of retail sales and money handling.
Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to work with numbers.
Ability to meet and interact positively with the public on a regular basis.
Demonstrated excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
Must receive acceptable result of background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cash register operation and retail sales.
Liquor Sales Clerk experience.

Responsibilities

Check identification to determine eligibility to purchase liquor.
Assist customers by finding items, recommending merchandise, and carrying merchandise to vehicles.
Operate Point of Sale (POS) system, accurately ringing up sales, receiving payment, and giving change.
Stock, arrange, and rotate liquor merchandise on shelves, including stocking beer coolers and setting up displays.
Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the liquor store, including setting up and dismantling displays, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, removing snow/ice, trash removal, cleaning windows, and washing shelves and products.
Clean restrooms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
