About The Position

AMVAC’s Loader position at the AXIS manufacturing site is responsible for the safe and environmentally sustainable loading and unloading of various forms of transport. Loaders are responsible for loading tank trucks, railcars and containers with liquids, powders and pellets as well as keep records and completing paperwork. AMVAC’s manufacturing plant is located in Axis, Alabama and operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Requirements

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, accountability, and organizational skills.
  • Must be forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
  • Ability to physically perform job requirements, including climbing stairs, wearing respiratory protection, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and understand process operations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operating conditions and production priorities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must successfully complete required physical examination and drug testing.

  • 3–6 months of applicable manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures efficient operation of the liquid packaging facilities.
  • Inspects, adjusts, isolates, monitors, operates, and repairs plant equipment and systems.
  • Identifies and reports plant conditions and maintenance issues as necessary.
  • Documents and reports all employee relation issues to the supervisor for direction.
  • Under the direction of the Synthesis Supervisor, leads and directs Utility Crew Workers in daily operations and assigned tasks.
  • Coordinates filling operations between the production unit and liquid packaging facilities.
  • Meets daily and weekly production quotas.
  • Ensures adequate production supplies are available to support operational needs.
  • Conducts laboratory sample pulls as required.
  • Operates forklifts in compliance with all company policies and safety requirements.
  • Communicates production expectations and safety standards to employees.
  • Complies and ensures compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements.
  • Complies and ensures compliance with all company policies, practices, and lawful directives.
  • Performs other assignments as necessary and directed by management.
